We're a forward thinking, fast growing ecommerce business using all the latest technologies, tools and tricks to be the best in our market.  At Net Curtains Direct we have a hard working, dynamic and entrepreneurial team, based in our beautiful offices in Cadnam in the New Forest.  We have excellent transport links as we are just off Junction 1 of the M27 but also right on the door step of the New Forest National Park. We look after our staff, rewarding creativity, encouraging free-thinking, and we even stock the fridge every week so lunch is always on us too!

Digital Marketing Executive / Manager (Depending on experience)

Full time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Details;

We are looking for a hardworking, fast learning, and sharp individual to join this rapidly growing ecommerce business with an exciting future ahead, and lots of opportunity for personal development. You will be overseeing all marketing activities undertaken by the business, so the right individual must be able to multi-task, get stuck into projects no matter the size, and ready to embrace new projects and learn new skills. Keeping yourself up to date with techniques and trends around digital marketing will be essential as you get to put your previous experience into action and get to own a project from inception to completion while measuring the benefits. You will be recommending whether a certain marketing strategy is continued, stopped, changed or rocket fuelled for growth.

Key Duties

  •  - Managing all day to day activities on Google Adwords, Google Shopping & remarketing
  •  - Managing all similar activities across Bing
  •  - Expand international online advertising, identifying new potential markets and reinvesting in the strongest opportunities
  •  - Create and maintain a series of content pages, optimising for site conversion and traffic acquisition
  •  - Create regular blog articles, related to retail activity (new products, offers etc) as well as guides and relevant articles
  •  - Manage all social media, daily Instagram, Frequent Facebook, Pinterest, Houzz and other similar platforms.
  •  - Identify opportunities for link building, and developing relationships with non-competing sites that are related to our market
  •  - Develop email program, both our weekly marketing email and lifecycle trigger emails.
  •  - Liaise with our Contract team to secure new business to business leads
  •  - Maximise and improve our conversion rate from enquiries and samples
  •  - Making various updates to our Magento system, creating new pages, activating promotions etc.

 

Key Skills

  •  - 1-2 years’ experience in an online marketing role, either for an agency or client
  •  - Experiencing managing social media campaigns
  •  - Familiarity with Google adwords and typical campaign structure
  •  - Someone not scared or intimidated with learning new skills, and making their own decisions
  •  - An interest in interiors and / or textiles and fabrics
  •  - An interest in online shopping and ecommerce. You need to know what good looks like online too!
  •  - Bright, sharp and willing to learn new skills
  •  - Reliable and hardworking, you must be willing to step up to challenges when needed
  •  - Strong computer skills, knowing more than the basics on Word, Excel etc
  •  - Excellent written English, grammar and attention to detail
  •  - Someone willing to develop their skills and career in a dynamic, expanding ecommerce business.
  •  - A good sense of humour and someone ready to get stuck in and join a fun, hardworking team!

 

Magento Developer

Full time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Details;

This is an opportunity for a Magento developer to strike the perfect balance between working for a client and an agency. Your time will be shared across 2-3 long term business relationships, working within the ecommerce team of Net Curtains Direct. You will see the full impact of your work, and will be able to work on projects for the long term, while still varying your workload between 3 very different projects.

There will be continued development of the Net Curtains Direct site. Delivering a road map of user experience and operational enhancements to the Magento System. This includes configuring and customising extensions and creating custom code. This will cover a variety of project sizes including an eventual full overhaul of the existing ecommerce platform onto a fully responsive site. Along side this you will be supporting 2 other magento sites.

You will have gained experience working with Magento, either during your previous job, a work placement or in your own time. You will be comfortable building and maintaining a site on your own, and comfortable making decisions and installing your own working practices. At the same time, there will be support from a team very comfortable working with Magento and very comfortable ensuring developers are well supported and given the time and resources to develop their own knowledge. You will be working within premium hosting environment on dedicated hardware.

Key Skills

  •  - Experience with Magento and Wordpress.
  •  - Strong Javascript and CSS
  •  - The ability to work on front end and back end systems.
  •  - Preference to use GitHub or similar for version control.
  •  - The ability to work directly with business users, often with a defined spec, but with occasional fire-fighting. We know in ecommerce it can never be avoided.
  •  - Experience of working within an Agile methodology, working through regular sprints managed via Kanban. We like to use Trello and Basecamp
  •  - Ability to assist with the technical network infrastructure, AKA be the resident techy.
  •  - The confidence and independence to be able to manage own work load across a variety of streams.
  •  - An interest in online shopping and ecommerce. You need to know what good looks like online too!
  •  - Reliable and hardworking, you must be willing to step up to challenges when needed
  •  - Someone willing to develop their skills and career in a dynamic, expanding ecommerce business.
  •  - A good sense of humour and someone ready to get stuck in and join a fun, hardworking team!
